Just for the record, although this maybe too detailed for most CSEW members
not in UFT, I misstated New Action's position on the functional ATR
chapter. Their main spokesman, Jonathan Halaby's position is as I stated,
following the conversation with him tonight. But at the e-board, New Action
was actually split on the functional chapter; four out of five of the New
Action e-board members voted with James Eterno for the functional chapter,
and Halabi may have abstained at the E-board, although he is now opposed.

I just posted our leaflet on UFTers against the War, and NYCoRE. I wrote
in that posting:

Class Struggle Education Workers distributed this leaflet at tonight's UFT
delegate assembly. It discusses the crucial principle of labor organizing
-- keep the government out of the unions. Their only interest in
intervening in union struggle is union-busting. We fight for an ATR
chapter, but ICE's appeal to the U.S. Labor Department is a risk to the
whole union."
