Hi comrades,
Please let me know if you can attend the Saturday conference that we are
building -- the CUNY-Wide Conference in Defense of Immigrants.
The comrades of the CUNY Internationalist Clubs and the Hunter Committee in
Defense of Immigrants and Muslims first proposed this as part of a PSC
initiative in which we have been taking part. Students and faculty from other
campuses are also involved. Particularly those who have been active in defense
of Aboubacar Dembele at Bronx Community College.
We are encouraging teachers from NYCDOE - UFT to participate and there will be
speakers from Trabajadores Internacionales Clasistas as well from the Laundry
Workers Center.
There are four workshops listed below. Everyone desiring to make their
contribution mobilizing to STOP deportations is encourgaged to come; bring your
friends and colleagues.
Please let me know if you can come.
Time: Saturday, March 3, 12 -5 pm
Place: CUNY Grad Center, 34th & 5th Ave, Room 5414
Workshops include: "DACA and TPS: Where Do We Go From Here," "Opposing
Islamophobia and Trump's Muslim Ban," "Immigrant Workers Struggles: Lessons for
and at CUNY," "Building a CUNY-Wide Network."
Join us this Saturday to defend our immigrant brothers and sisters throughout
the public school system.
