At last, the US government and the President are making their moves
regarding the government and people of Venezuela. The diplomatic bag is
now armed with all the tools necessary for subversion and buying out and
convincing various government and other employees and those opposition
groups to the presently elected government of Venezuela. Every
President needs his little war to keep the US armed forces up to
scratch, and what couldn't be better as a diversionary tactic from
present failures and the splits and divisions amongst the American
people, than to get a good ole war going in Venezuela with the aim of
restoring democracy to the country and making sure that those groups who
are supported believe in privatising one of the world's biggest oil
fields, for a pittance? And who is going to jump to the defence of the
Venezuelans? The Latin and South Americans, the British, the Europeans,
the Chinese, the Russians...I doubt it, they will leave Venezuela to
fend for itself, against the might of its Northern adversary. All
those coups which occurred in the 1960s and 70's engineered by the CIA
in Chile and such like, are continuing into the new millennium. Not a
lot changes.
It is a terrible situation for the people of Venezuela when one thinks
on it. Doesn't matter whether it is a socialist government which exists
now, or any other government which gets installed. Huge oil resources,
instead of being an aid to developing the economy and making most folks
on the bottom rungs of society have a better way of life, through
profits spent on education and health and social welfare, will see their
lives fall even more into decay and decadence, their children and poor
people starving, their middle classes eviscerated; and all due to the
low prices of oil and the lure and greed of large international
companies based mostly in the US of A, which wish to purchase the
capital resources for a song, and develop them for their own selfish
profits. The US needs the oil, now that it is getting rid of the
Environmental Protection Safeguards, the regulations placed on fossil
fuel companies, which were designed to protect the people's health and
help to produce more pollution, more environmentally unfriendly gases
and chemicals.

meetings with Coal industry representatives which he keeps quiet.
