Hi Neal, all very interesting, the Corbett report does come up with some really 
interesting stuff indeed. Have you also seen the documentaries put out by Adam 
Curtis who has some really interesting documentaries that he has done through 
BBC. One notable one is that of the Power of Nightmares. Interestingly, l 
managed to get a lecturer friend of mine to play this one in an Intelligence 
class at Masters level in Wellington, NZ, they liked what he had to say but did 
not agree with the conclusion the guy was saying. That governments (UK &US) use 
fear to sell policies to their populations :)

One other documentary that l saw which l saw that deals with the topics you 
were speaking of which deals with both deception and History and Iran is the 
one shown on TV recently called the secret of the Seven sisters.

      I can never understand why people expect politicians or ministers

      one lie...in my view?  
      
      It brings back memories of that old protest song, during the
      Vietnam War.  "What did you learn in school today, dear little boy
      of mine...I learned that policemen were my friends..." by Pete
      Seager.
      
      There is a good read called "The Art of Deception" a book
      available on Amazon, written from a sociological point of view,
      about why people tell lies.  She says that everyone tells lies,
      all the time, every day...and for no apparent reason.  Don't know
      how good her research is, or where she got it from...but it
      certainly doesn't apply to me...
