Terrible situation. All these cables are public knowledge, advertised
on marine charts, and contain "no go" or "no anchoring" areas of warning
to shipping. They are just lying there on the sand, deep
underwater...and Oh! So! vulnerable...waiting to be trawled, caught, cut
or tapped. One of those Russian trawlers with all that secret
intelligence equipment on board, and with plenty of strong trawler nets
could wreak havoc all around the North Sea and the Atlantic, as does
ordinary shipping every day! Still, whilst all of the UK's naval armada
remains in port due to a priority being made for naval personnel to be
home at Christmas, (Oh! What a Royal human navy we have, to allow its
staff to celebrate at home with their families) whilst another one is
shadowing the latest piece of shipping technology from Russia across the
North Sea, as both ships try to find out what each others intel
capability is and what they are up to.
All the pirates in the Middle East and East Africa can now run riot in
the shipping lanes, knowing that HMS Royal Navy will not be there to
protect the lucrative trade of oil and goodies for the Wild West.
Small leaks in the HMS Queen Elizabeth are to be plugged with we know
not what, perhaps 35 US fighters are $100 million each (spare parts and
maintenance not included)...or perhaps the ship will be sold off to the
American Leisure Industry as the world's biggest sun tan beach, or
rented out to a film studio, to echo the UK's past and present greatness
and contribution to the world scene; due to the economic downturn here
making it unaffordable...Let us hope that we don't have a new world war
in 1918...we are not quite ready. I am sure though, that 'the Donal'
will come to our rescue and save us all, as we are good people, nice
people and close friends of his, within a special relationship...and he
is hopefully coming to visit us and our Queen early in the New Year. I
wonder if she will have a tower big enough to contain him...:-). Or
whether a new Tower will appear, as if by magic in the latter part of
the New Year, along with gold course and other salubrious entertainments...
