Now, the gloves are off in the USA as far as privacy is concerned. Your internet footprint and profile can be sold off by your ISP now that the restrictions put in to protect privacy have been abandoned. No more ticking the box to protect your privacy It is open season all the year round. One wonders how it will affect the users of the internet over time. Some good advice given to try and limit it, but one doubts whether the citizens will even read such advice, far less take it.

Apparently it will mean up to an extra $70 billion dollars of income to those who deal in selling personal information...and all perfectly legal, particularly for your ISP.
