Is not Anarchism - The Absence of Government a bit of a laugh considering you
need government for many things. I have studied Anarchism as topic of Political
Ideology. So, what are Anarchists likely to be able to do with the current
situation with regards to the NSA?

I am an anarchist with zero respect for Marxism ( and very little for that '
Marxism-of-the-Right' Libertarianism either )

Pessimism is a counter-revolutionary attitude today. Read the Cyphernomicon and
Assassination Politics. Crypto-anarchy is getting bigger every year.

I think John has it pretty well nailed with that comment.

Agreed, 'human nature' is the core issue but.... here's the way I see
it: unless ways can be found to reverse the historic correlation between
the acquisition and retention/perpetuation of power, then humanity
itself has no future other than existence in variations on the dystopian
visions of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley - and I see precious little
sign of progress towards such an existence being halted, let alone
reversed - quite the opposite in fact.
