Today is the anniversary of the first nuclear bomb to be used in
anger... Hiroshima August 6th 1945

The second one was dropped on Nagasaki two days later.

People are still dying from the results of the bombings and nuclear
radiation can last up to two million years.  Hanford is having a
terrible and expensive job, trying to clean up the site. At least 60
billion dollars so far has been spent on trying to prevent radioactive
pollution from continuing to leach into the river, from nuclear ponds
next to the facility.

Maybe it is time for North Korea and Israel and Iran to join the Nuclear
Non Proliferation Treaty...

Maybe it is time that we all got rid of the darn things altogether...but
pigs might fly.

ATB

Dougie.
