Remember me saying to John about the benefits of new technology helping
farmers, even though their navigation was mapped...well here is the
downside...:-). I had a similar faulty sensor problem with a Vauxhall
diesel car I bought. It cost me almost £3000 to get it sorted out. The
garage, even with all their specialist electronic diagnostics equipment,
didn’t have the skills on hand to repair it and went through a substitution
procedure, changing sensors willy nilly which cost least at first.
Eventually, I had to pay for advice from a diesel engine specialist...and
the funny thing was that it was the one sensor which I suggested was faulty
in the first place, after looking the symptoms up on the internet. It can
be costly learning from the mistakes of others, and compounding it by being
gullible to the so-called experts.
