Why is it that in a democracy, an independence vote organised privately
by the citizenry is like some kind of state crime? It is peaceful, it
is not using government funds, it is a form of legitimate protest. The
Catalan Independence movement are not even going to win it. And, if by
some outside chance they do...then Spain still won't recognise their
right to independence, because it says so in the Spanish Constitution.
Just shows how worried the Spanish government are. One hopes for their
sake that the moves they are making to stem the democratic flow don't
backfire on them. But there again, who cares about any state, apart
from the Spanish one...:-)

P.S. The Scots had an independence vote in the UK...and see what
happened to them...but at least they were "allowed" to have one.
