He could be stuck in the Ecuadorian embassy for ever. He is also wanted
by the UK police for breaking his bail conditions. So, even if he
managed to win his appeal against the extradition writ by the Swedish
authorities, for alleged rape, he could face a prison sentence in the UK
due to his breaking bail... And the US might apply for an extradition
order to the UK government...whilst he is in detention in the UK. Much
easier than an extradition order from Sweden... I think the last time
that something like this happened was in Hungary in 1956 when a Catholic
Cardinal was holed up in the US embassy for a while, for allegedly being
a main organiser of the Hungarian uprising.
