Hmmm...  I generally prefer Shmupmame because of the reduced lag, but there
are frontends designed specifically for cab use.  So what you can do is get
the commandline version of shmupmame combined with a frontend.  I don't
have experience with good cab-based frontends though.  I think the most
popular one was HyperSpin but I dont know about these days.
