Lords of the fallen looks like a wishy washy Souls copy.
I have no love for these games that try to ride on other successful titles hard
work and pioneering.

Yep. the amount of pressure you can do with all the cancels. very psychological.
Gado and Shen Long is pretty much the same in 3. They might have toned down
Shen Long's damage and change some of his move list.

3 is pretty much the same as 2. Only difference is combos are a bit easier to
connect but it's also easier to escape (air recover). only main difference is
that you benefit in going into beast mode more. so you have to go into beast
mode more often than 2. beast mode changes some move property to guard breaker,
etc.

If your life is low, beast gauge fills up twice as fast if you stand still in 3
apparently. sorta like a rage/ultra system for a comeback. which is nice. i
never realize all these technical stuff...only assumed because back then i
didn't look it up lolz what i know is just years of practice and game play

I remember reading about Gado and Shen Long being very powerful in 2. I'm

I like the application of guard cancelling for pressure or during juggles. It
really opens up the game.

In BR 2 they say it's Gado and Shen Long due to damage. Gado apparently has a
CH infinite too lolz but it has to land CH and it's not super easy to land
either i think. But those 2 are god tier due to damage only, so if you know how
to block...it's fine lolz

BR 3 it's Uranus, she's stupid fast and her juggles is constant. But her health
bar is the lowest...she dies fast and she also "bounce/float" higher than other
character...making it easy to combo her too.

I didn't know that each character have different health bar like SF. i thought
it only applied to Stun (having the high health) due to his slow speed. Didn't
know it applies to all. Gado also have high health.

The more i research, the more bloody roar sounds like SF. they also have the
guard attack stuff.

Damn. Bloody Roar 3 system is deep. The system is pretty good...don't know why
they didn't do the same for BR4...

Tier list is pretty good too. Every character is around the same with the
exception of 2-3 being god tier...but it still doesn't guarantee them wins.

The game is free to play, right?

I should probably watch some more vids of the game. I’m thinking that the more
you play the game, the more you can see the differences
in the combos. I haven’t had a good look at the specific differences in the
combos for the new KI though.

The original ones all had such awesome enders – Jago’s wind kick ender,
Fulgore’s teleport ender, Glacius’ puddleport ender…

Unfortunately, I will not be one of them.

I've tried really, really hard to like KI. I've watched tournament footage,
tried to understand the meta, character options, etc. I can respect what the
game has to offer in terms of fighting mechanics and the like, but the complete
package
just doesn't appeal to me at all. The only character that even remotely
appeals to me is Spinal and that really isn't saying much.

Even though the gameplay has definitely evolved since release, and there are
clear meta strategies being employed during matches, everything still looks
so... samey... The animations still look jerky instead of fluid (I understand
that
everyone will have their own opinions on this; this is simply my perspective)
and the combos don't have much variety (even the manuals, which is sad). I'd
still play the first one - flawed as it is - over the new one just because of
how cool the combos look.
There's just this instant appeal and satisfaction when watching/performing
combos in KI1. In the new KI, everything just looks really bland and meh.
Different strokes for different folks, but that's my 2 cents on the game.
