Well his 50/50 was low/overhead and both were launch on block. That would’ve
been okay if he could at least build bar a little faster.
I don’t think the character was crap, he just needed a small tweak. Scorpion
felt like an amazing rushdown character, but playing him like that would get
you killed.
Subby sat on the opposite side to Scorp – builds bar but never needs to use it.
Better normal. Safer overhead (which leads to combos as well).

Anyhoo… Raiden looks damned cool.

I thought scorp was fair, he just needed a better way to start a combo from a
low.
But this balance discussion will go on forever.
Things I would change.... the list would be too long.
I think Brutality is going to make a comeback.

Actually Scorp’s combo damage wasn’t his major problem. He could deal 40% off a
jump on combo and around 30% for most other staples. The problem is that you
needed bar with him for safety since his risk was high, reward was low. You had
to play really carefully and safely, only to have your combo broken in the
first hit. Theyn you were screwed. He built bar too slowly, couldn’t pressure
properly (other than having a 50/50) and had a below average ranged game.

All in all, he was mid-tier, maybe towards the bottom of that group. Subby was
better.

I'm sure the current build and final product will be pretty different too.
They've completely changed Raiden's X-Ray. He now launches the opponent into
the air and does some electrifying combo instead of the X-Ray we saw during his
character trailer.

Whatever they change. I hope it's for the balance of the game and not because
some gaming fans or Tom Brady decides he doesn't like it...Didn't Scorpion did
ridiculous damage during beta in mk9 too? Will history repeat itself? :/

So far the game looks like it's going to be a hit. They're pooling in what's
good in mk9 and injustice.

Can't wait to see more of MKX and T7.

Xrd looks good too but i'll have to start from 0 with that game...read that Ino
is not so great in that game :/ Faust seems to be a hit in Japan.

I just hope they don’t nerf Scorpion into ground again. Or it’s more that I
hope they balance the game properly. I have no idea how they’re going to get
that right with the sheer number of variations the game will have going. I’m
guessing we’ll be seeing large numbers of updates for the first year.

I’m having trouble caring about current games. I want MKX and Tekken 7 now.

@nic - MKX is looking good :) each characters have different jump in attack
animation. So it's not as generic as mk9. At the current build Scorpion does
the biggest damage in combos. I just hope the game doesnt revolve around
Variation A (rush down) beats Variation B (zoning) easily.

I saw Oscar Broly's Sheeva beat Smoke and Kabal...
