I just generally dislike the stick/dpad position on the controllers and going by history im not a big fan of their exclusives. Hopefully they improved the horrible excuse they had for a dpad on the 360 controller. Sofar only thing they announced that has my interist is Quantum Break... and I dont actually have any idea what its really is lol. Should have a better idea of what the future holds for both consoles after e3 in a week or 3. From: lindseyak@xxxxxxxxxxx To: cpt-fgc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: USF4 changes! Date: Mon, 26 May 2014 12:59:55 +0000 The game is free to play, right? I should probably watch some more vids of the game. I’m thinking that the more you play the game, the more you can see the differences in the combos. I haven’t had a good look at the specific differences in the combos for the new KI though. The original ones all had such awesome enders – Jago’s wind kick ender, Fulgore’s teleport ender, Glacius’ puddleport ender… From: cpt-fgc-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:cpt-fgc-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ryan Williams Sent: 26 May 2014 2:56 PM To: cpt-fgc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: USF4 changes! Unfortunately, I will not be one of them. I've tried really, really hard to like KI. I've watched tournament footage, tried to understand the meta, character options, etc. I can respect what the game has to offer in terms of fighting mechanics and the like, but the complete package just doesn't appeal to me at all. The only character that even remotely appeals to me is Spinal and that really isn't saying much. Even though the gameplay has definitely evolved since release, and there are clear meta strategies being employed during matches, everything still looks so... samey... The animations still look jerky instead of fluid (I understand that everyone will have their own opinions on this; this is simply my perspective) and the combos don't have much variety (even the manuals, which is sad). I'd still play the first one - flawed as it is - over the new one just because of how cool the combos look. There's just this instant appeal and satisfaction when watching/performing combos in KI1. In the new KI, everything just looks really bland and meh. Different strokes for different folks, but that's my 2 cents on the game.
