Good luck for the future dude.
I kinda get the feeling that most any other job will be an improvement.

Nope, that's still a work in progress.

I do have a potential job lined up but I also have a financial safety net if
worse comes to worst. All things considered, I'll be glad to be free of this
place.

Prometheus would’ve been better if they’d just followed the original script.

@Di – have you seen the original trailer for Aliens 3 – the one that has people
fighting the Aliens on Earth? Man, that film went through so many script
changes and director changes. I still like the film.

They kindda explained more about the space jockey...they did however, reveal
how xeno's started...but still not enough information. In the comics, they have
ranks, different xeno type, hive system, queen's rite of passage and so much
behaviour/intelligence.

I didn't mind Alien 3 that much. Yes, it's not as good as Alien or Aliens. But
it would be interesting to see Hicks and Newt instead of Ripley (or Ripley
being in a coma).

The Queen Facehugger would be interesting to see. But the whole alien universe
isn't explored much in all the films. All we know in each film is they are
there, and they are ready to fuck things up. Aliens is the only one that really
showed us some information about them. Alien 3 showed us that it can impregnate
other living things...other than that...they're still a mystery. While in the
comics and games, they have more time and space to explore them more.

I hope they really reboot the series from Alien Resurrection onwards...while
sticking to the whole futuristic army they did in Aliens. Or even a bridge
story about how the Coloney fell apart would be cool too. Love the
series...sadly AVP killed it...AVP 1 wasn't too bad (it's fun to watch but not
to take super seriously like the original series)...AVP2 was abysmal...fuck the
brother straus. they promised us futuristic army at first, then they thought
"what's more scary than aliens in space? aliens in your backyard..." and the
replace everything with CGI. At least AVP 1 they build the 50 feet Queen :D

Watched 22 Jump Street last night. I liked how it makes fun of itself and
kinda breaks the fourth wall (lots of quotable material), but then just like in
the first movie it deteriorates into a steaming pile of double dog shit as it
approaches the ending.
When I got home I watched Alien and Aliens again back to back. This article on
Alien 3 told me a lot about the movie I didn't realize (eg. they started
filming before the script was even complete):

I think I'll watch the Assembly Cut they talk about later tonight.
Oh, Michael Bay has a new series out:
