What I don't get is how SFV gets praise when it suffers from a lot of
the problems that SFIV had, but it's even worse in that regard. Worse
walking speed, worse normals, worse throws, noob execution, comeback
mechanics. These are the things that people originally hated about SFIV.
Option Select and Focus Attack hate only came afterwards. Now SFV comes
out and automatically these things are acceptable.
I really don't think this game would have been well received if it
were released in 2008/2009. I think it was have been considered a bad
April fools day joke.

They did hate on SF4. A lot of what is being said about V (pandering
to nubs, too easy, looks like shit, etc.) at the moment is very
reminiscent
of pre/post-release SF4. That's not to say that the hate is unjustified,
though. People have legitimate reasons for why V isn't their cup of tea,
which is fine. We can't all like the same things all the time.
