Haha, I was thinking the same thing...a pretty disturbing read.

Hope it heals up soon.

Yesterday morning my finger (middle finger on my right hand) was
penetrated by a splinter(foreign object) right under the nail so pressing
buttons with it was an issue.
So this morning I decided to pay my Doc a visit after failed attempts
of removing the thing myself. He gave me 4 injections around the finger
then slowly and agonisingly removing pieces of my nail before he removed
the splinter.
Now I can relax and not use my finger for a while as it heals.

They don't really care. They've been screwing over Australians and
Brazilians for years. I don't expect that we'll survive unscathed.

That’s some pretty poor logic on the publisher’s side.

The price is determined by the publishers. If the publisher doesn't
set a Rand price, Steam will do the conversion. So a publisher can say "I
have to sell my product for more Rands because ZA has less people so I
make
less money", just like they do in South America and Australia.

How so? Is the conversion rate used by Steam not the same one that
your bank would use on the day of a purchase?
