I really love the scholar, its a healing class but your summons can also heal (you essentially have 2 healers for the price of one) only draw back is that your heals are not as potent as a white mage but bcoz the class is based on arcanist you can use aetherflow and mp drain to keep your mp up... white mage struggles with mp. And bcoz scholar is based on arcanist it also doubles up as a damage dealer and can cast damage over time spells... so while they are damaging an opponent you can revert back to healing--- really a fun class to play... little more strategic than white mage imho. I found the arcanist to be a lot of fun to play they dont do a lot of damage but they do damage over time together with their summons (Topaz or emerald carbuncle) they can do a lot of devastation.
