I know why they put him in there (canonically speaking), but I don't want
to spoil anything for peeps who haven't watched the movie yet.
That said, the only other reason is to cater to female moviegoers who
haven't quite had their fill of Orlando Bloom in tights. Gotta fill those
extra seats.
