I am going to throttle the guy in the expense claims department. So I paid for my hotel in Botswana and they use those old machines where they put the card with carbon paper over it and slide that thing across to take the imprint. Now the money will come off my card eventually when that thing gets processed. The idiots in our claims department say that they can't pay me because they don't know the exact exchange rate that will be used when the payment goes through. Uh, it's the pula. It's fixed against the rand within a small band. It can't go up or down much. And by much I mean a cent or two. Maybe that would make a difference on a million rand deal, but it means nothing for my little claim. Aargh.
