I went to MSSA Nationals over the weekend. It was fun. I won the Street
Fighter. A guy called Mxolisi from Free State/Mpumalanga came second. TG came
third. TG won the Tekken. I came second... just one more game and I'm sure I
could've taken him. I suppose he would've had something to say about that.
Surprisingly big turnout. I must've played more than 20 official games. Was
shattered by the end.
Still not sure if TG's got his SA passport, and still don't know if SF is a
game at IESF, so no idea who (if anyone) gets to rep SA. Then again, it is the
Minister of Sport's decision, so he could pick anyone or no one.
The all-girls LOL team was tearing through the competition. Good to see.
Chatted to some guy there who runs teams for CSGO and LOL. He's involved with
DGL. He wants me to join their team. If this can help gets some fighting game
stuff going properly up here, I'm all over it. I'll keep people posted about
what's happening.
