Michael Bay excels at popcorn/explosion films that appeal to young audiences. I
have no idea why they'd give him Lobo.
Also, I don't see how anyone could make a Lobo film that is true to the source
material and also a commercial success. Lobo is not a nice character. Even as
an anti-hero, he's hard to like. That doesn't exactly play out well with the
average joe.
