Thing is now with e-sports being big business, you can’t just run these
tournaments in a half-arsed fashion. You need people doing the proper checks on
the teams to ensure compliance. They shouldn’t have been allowed to play in the
first place, let along get that far in the tournament.

Quite a few gaming tournaments aren’t open to certain countries… or certain
continents… Blizz didn’t have any qualifiers for African countries until that
Tunisian guy went to Europe, won there, went to worlds and won there. All too
often you need someone to bypass the rules to prove how stupid they are.
Kicking out the SA team would make sense if they were competing in the European
champs instead of African champs, but since we don’t have one, what else were
they supposed to do?
