Funny story from when I was in Taipei.  My friend was searching for a long
time for a jade Buddha pendant.  Eventually he found one for R10k, but
without a chain.  He asked them to include a chain or necklace.  Extra R2k
they said.  Without thinking, he just agreed.

They literally gave him somethng that resembled a shoelace.  I still have
some of the trimmings at home.  I reckon in 5 years it should be worth
about R80k.

So, it turns out that trying to lift and move a 120kg lump of stone is
actually not that easy. My arms feel broken. Plonked them down on towels so
that they’re easier to drag around the house. Once I put them where I’m
happy with them, they ain’t moving.

Problem with lines like that is that the internet has messed up my ability
to sell when people are sarcastic, trolling or just being aimless.

Was on a thread the other day and someone was complaining about the first
Transformers film. I actually enjoyed it. The guy’s complaints were all
about the scripting and character development. Seriously? It’s a film about
robots that become cars. What was he expecting?

Started watching Archer. I’m liking the show. It has some insane fans out
there who seem to think it’s the greatest show ever made. It’s not, but it
is fun.
