No. I remember making maps by hand on paper back in the Eye of the Beholder and
Zork days. Don’t print stuff out.
I have zero sense of direction and get lost in my own backyard. Sadly this
translates to games as well. First couple of time I played Dark Souls I
disliked it because I couldn’t figure out where to go. I spent a couple of
hours not dying and getting along before realising I’d wandered back to the
start. Next time I played Paas was around and could give me hints like ‘No
dude, go left. I said left. No, not right. Where are you going?’
Thing with other games that there is usually no penalty for getting lost and
spending hours trying to find your way around. For something like Dark Souls,
this is just not the way to play.

Oh, actually there is a game that like Skyrim, I could just stuff around with
at home. I need to print out some maps so I don’t keep getting lost again.

I blame work. Got home at 8pm last night and still needed to do some work. By
the time I’m done, I’m shattered. Skyrim is my go-to for just being brain dead.
Either that, or Diablo/Overwatch.
I’ve got a month off in December (sort of approved). I’ll use that time to get
through ME2 and Witcher 2.
Got Near Tomato and Yakuza on my list, but that’s for the far distant future.

As I said in my post to Manase, maybe it is me. I used to be insanely excited
about games. I couldn’t concentrate on the Friday when I knew it was hitting. I
got home and played until I couldn’t stay awake anymore. Now… it just sits on
my Steam account.

Nah man. Its not that bad.
Its the same as any form of news and the media only focuses on the bad news.
There are amazing games releasing every year.
This year alone has given me 2 of the best games I have ever played in my life.
Yakuza 0
Nier: Automata
I guess it still depends on taste but majority of games being released are not
Microtransaction ridden monstrosities.
Hopefully it steers away them in the same way the "online pass" trend kicked
the bucket.

I will just fire up my ps2 and clear it's back log.
This generation of gaming has gone down the drain, there is simply little to
nothing to look forward to release wise.
Someone on the internet said the industry needs a crash and I fully agree with
that.

GG
Augmenting micro transactions through screwing with online matchmaking.
You get deliberately paired up with or against people who have purchased
items/weapons etc. that are also better than you skill wise.
Making you feel under powered and also wanting those items/weapons.
Then after you actually purchased these items yourself they pair you up against
lower skilled players on purpose to make you feel good and positively reinforce
your purchase. (And making them want the items as well)
Scummy as all hell lol
