I liked everything about Prometheus until they got to the pathogen part.
Then it was no longer an alien movie.

I’ve got the same problem with film that I had with Prometheus
(specifically the original ideas and script, not the final product) – there
is so much wasted potential.

Same criticisms I had. I didn't really enjoy it though. To me it just

I finally got around to watching Alien: Covenant. No spoilers ahead, but
ignore if you haven’t watched it yet.
….I dunno what genre they were going for. It wasn’t a horror – there was
not enough tension, no real scary stuff in any way – either psychological
or even jump scares. If this wasn’t supposed to be horror, but rather the
general sci-fi route, then I guess it was okay. If you want to ask
philosophical questions in a movie, don’t just have the characters open
their mouths and ask those questions. That’s bad writing or being
phenomenally lazy. Or just stupid. Not the only lazy writing in the movie,
I guess.
Anyways, the film felt okay. It kept making me thing that it was going
somewhere, but never did. I think Ridley Scott’s time has passed. I liked
Fassbender in it. That’s pretty much all.

I played it at wonderland on Friday and ,of course, one cymbal didn't
