So I just got an email from skweenix saying that if I re-join FF14, I get some 
free level 260 items. Uh, I’m pretty sure that most of my previous gear was 
around lv60-70. Bit of power creep going on there?

I watched that latest alien movie over the weekend.
For some reason I enjoyed it ... that said I'm not really a sci-fi or horror 
veteran.

I don't know enough about movies to properly  explain why I do but it just 
seemed to have good pacing and none of the actors got annoying or said anything 
too stupid.

As for wonderwoman .... that last bad guy was even worse than the end of final 
fantasy 9.
I would almost rather watch WW as a series of cooch and teet highlight gifs.

Too many people nowadays want generic, derivative, ultraviolent, copy-and-paste 
garbage. They aren't even prepared to keep an open mind about movies like 'It 
Comes at Night' and judge it on its own merits. This fucking generation... it's 
almost as though people don't realise that horror in film can be presented in a 
number of different forms, not all of them conventional.

Hes an optional dude milling around on a building somewhere.  Not very 
important but I found him entertaining.



Also just so you know.

Your sidequest progress is not reset during playthroughs.

So stuff you complete or dont complete carry over to the next part.  Certain 
ones are more difficult or impossible to complete on your first run.


Also after you get to a certain point you open up chapter select type thing 
where you can go back and do things you missed.

I was mainly focussing on completing side quests. I dig those robots in the 
village *lol* I'm at the part where you need to fight those giant flying snake 
things (after defeating the giant robo). Still need to proceed past that point.

I've got it. Just haven't had the opportunity to play it yet (thank you, 
backlog). Also strikes me as something that will require commitment. Trying to

It is very time-consuming because of all the different things you can do and

You dont need good players.

You just do some math.



Yoshi player does FC df+4 x amount of times per game.

Everytime he is gambling with odds that are not in his favour at all.



You cannot make that consistent.  It will be erratic and unstable performance.

You will get blown up more than you succeed.

But you cant do anything about it because thats the only tool Yoshi has for 
this purpose.

But those moves aren't meant to be spammed to begin with, Paasie. It lessens 
their effectiveness. If people eventually latch on to you spamming a strong 
move and counter it, that's what supposed to happen to ensure that both parties 
improve while advancing the meta. If they just keep getting hit by it and you 
keep landing it successfully, who's learning anything? The mindgame is often 
far more important than the move actually landing/being used. If used 
sparingly, anything can be effective. And Yoshi has such an extensive 
repertoire of tools that it mostly becomes a non-issue.

If viewed in a vacuum, maybe. If viewed alongside the possibility of getting 
hit by twin pistons, which, if blocked, can be cancelled to ensure that Yoshi 
gets floated for a shitty combo...



I mean, this is what goes through someone's head when Yoshi gets into FC.



a) He might do sword slash

b) He might do twin pistons

c) He might do FC df+4



Sword slash already has the 'deer in the headlights' effect which makes it a 
very effective FC mindgame tool despite having stupid startup and a noticeable 
tell.

Couple that with twin pistons and you already have a scary 50/50. Then you 
factor in FC df+4 which, on hit, gives you mixup opportunities and launches on 
CH.



I'm still ok with it being that punishable, considering how powerful that 
mindgame is. But I get what you're saying.

Its just unfortunate.  When one of a characters goto must use moves has such a 
lobsided risk/reward ratio it ends up being luck based.

You can succesfully hit it 4-6 times but 1 block negates it all.

You have to do it so much that eventually they guess right and block it.  With 
the damage being way in their favour.

Same applies to FC df+4 in its current state (note, current state). It's far 
from being a useless low. I don't want to be mixed up when I get touched by 
that thing and I sure as hell don't want to be launched on CH. Its 
effectiveness wouldn't be diminished in the slightest if it functioned 
similarly to Master Raven's.

Full demo is -17 on block regardless of JF blue sparkly ender or not. Just the 
d+4,2 is -18 on block, -9 on hit.

Damage on demo is a mess and changes depending on range and the trip. Max

Dude, that would be out of control. For characters that have normal happy 
launchers and stuff, the addition of a low which launches on CH is nice, but 
almost always stupidly punishable.



Paul’s qcb+3 is 18f. It’s -9 on hit (but has mid follow up). Doesn’t trip on 
hit. Launch on CH. On block, it is -21. No way is anyone failing to punish that 
puppy.
