the question here isn't lag , but conformity.

we have all decided that AOC don't lag a lot and we happy to play on them.

therefore if you play at home with an oac then come to session/ cts it will
feel the same ergo no lag

Cant just use software program to test input lag.
You need the correct hardware to do proper tests.

Other than that you just have to "feel it out"

a HD TV with about 4 - 5 frames of lag, horrible

IPS monitor?

Im sure the lag is not in my head now. I dont think you get IPS "gaming"
monitors.

IPS monitors give better colours and viewing angles but anything
gaming/performance/response related will be a TN panel.

I would recommend going for a non IPS monitor

Zidane has been beasting with that Leo on Spooky's stream for a while now.
Mynus is probably the best Ino player in the states (he usually gets bopped by

As a fighting game fan, I think it's a decline in the 3d interest. I believe
the reason is that the characters are simply too similar. The 3d movement is
the same for most. The movesets too similar.

It's something I disliked about MK as well... to some extent anyway.

It was 'borrowed' from Virtua Fighter.

You can trace these things back to VF2 days.

VF2 - Sega adds characters with 3D axis movement

T2 - Namco follows suit

VF3 - Sega adds undulating stages and a new 'evade' mechanic (Essentially a
sidestep button but multi-purpose). Some stages are also enclosed (have walls).

T3 - Namco also introduces a sidestep mechanic. The walls and undulating stages
first make an appearance in T4.

VF5 - Sega introduces a B! mechanic.

T6 - Namco introduces a B! mechanic.

If you follow the chronology of these releases, you will see that Namco would
typically release a new Tekken a year (sometimes more) or so after the release
of a new Virtua Fighter.
