What does a session cost? How many people does he need to be regular members? I
mean does he have a sliding scale for discount depending on the number of us
there are, and what level of discount are we talking about?

Just throwing this out. If you need extra people to buy memberships, I can do
that, but I don’t know how many actual sessions I’ll be able to make.

It will depend on my availability but I'll let you know closer to the time. For
now, if we are going to do this, I need a show of hands in terms of who is
interested in applying for the group membership so that I can revert to Zaid.

Sap, if you're going on friday, then i'm available in the afternoon until 6.

On a side note. I'm glad I was finally able to beat gb's blanka in a ft5,
thanks to the Salie gravity training.

Noted.

Response from Zaid:

"Hey Man...yep Kamimodo is sarting to pick up nicely. Okay so sat we are open
from about 10 till midnight (opening hours vary according to how hectic the
night before is to be honest lol) but usually around 10am. IF you guys are keen
on hanging out later than midnight Im sure we can accomodate you since we kinda
have the 24hr plan thing in our scope so perhaps a "let me know before hand"
type situation is best...Sleepovers are definately not a problem but the same
principle as before applies you gotta let me know so I can make arrangements.
We could definately work out a discount for you and your guys...on that front
you would have to let me know how many of you guys will be signing up (sort of
a group discount special membership considering your own consoles etc)...Theres
some added benefits too like cafe discounts and bookings, free tourny entry
etcIf you can get me those numbers im sure I can sort you guys out with a
decent price. My only condition and this is DEAD SERIOUS....you gotta let me
jam with you guys. Im sort of a "jack of all trades" gamer with my speciality
in racing games but with fighting games coming in a close second and I've been
looking for an excuse to become more serious...your tutelage will be most
welcomed"

"If you would like to chat some more let me know when you can make a turn at
the shop and we can see how we can accomodate each other further (Maybe you wna
host a consistant fight night or something for free thus bringing us business
and you guys get to jam for free)...somthing like that...I would love Kamimodo
to be able to help CTS grow and vice versa if you know what I mean. I don't
want us to have a simple service customer relationship since Im really keen on
growing the community...so let me know if you wna brainstorm some things im
open to any and all ideas"

I think we need to discuss this in detail.

I don't want to burn my bridges with Jeeva, since we have something good going

I believe its a case of miscommunication, since Jeeva has been a good guy.

We'd have to confirm. I'll chat to Zaid about it.

I'm also leaning towards Kamimodo. In addition to the reasons you posted, I
really used to enjoy session at Geco while it lasted, and we could get a
similar vibe at Kamimodo.
Hopefully we can get a decent rate, since like you said, we'll be using our own
equipment.

All we really need is the space, internet usage, and maybe one of their PCs
would be nice.

<ryan820509@xxxxxxxxx<mailto:ryan820509@xxxxxxxxx>> wrote:

Hi all

Some of you already know my feelings on this matter, so I'm just sharing this
with those who don't.

In light of recent 'developments' at the GamerNET house, I think it's time for
us to consider relocating.

We've had a good run there, but things are changing - and not necessarily for
the better, in my opinion.

I don't mind change. If it is good, or beneficial in some way, I'm all for it.
Right now, it seems like these changes are benefiting an individual and not a
collective.

So let me get right to the 'meat and potatoes' of what this is all about. We
get there on Saturday and start setting up. There's a car parked outside at
Jeeva's house that most of the regulars have already come to associate with
'quiet time'. Now, this 'quiet time' I'm referring to is when IT training has
been scheduled at Jeeva's house. During the training period, we are promptly
told to shut the fuck up until such time as training has been concluded.

I understand that Jeeva's house is a registered training institution. I
understand that he has to make ends meet and that this is just another source
of income. What I don't like is that other people who pay to be there get the
shaft because of how he feels he should conduct business. This is gripe number
one.

Gripe number two was when I wanted to set up the Challonge brackets for the
standard Sat tourney, only to realise that the internet connection wasn't
working (ethernet link to Jeeva's network). Not only that, but the wireless
details had also changed. Again, not typically something that one would feel
the need to complain about, provided that shit gets properly communicated.

Which brings me to gripe number three; a distinct lack of communication these
days. Jeeva's just making changes without informing anyone. Maybe we're just
not 'important' enough to inform. Or perhaps, changes like these don't warrant
explanation, as far as he's concerned. It's fine for him to send me an sms on
any given Saturday to inform me that 'the guys are making too much noise, can
they please keep it down between 12pm and 1pm', but he can't even communicate
something as simple as 'hi guys, I had to change the internet/network settings
to accommodate the students/training personnel, so if you want to use the
internet, please use these new credentials'. Shit like this pisses me off.

I'm starting to feel like we've overstayed our welcome and that Jeeva is
trying, in a very subtle, manner, to get us to leave. It's an assumption on my
part, I'll admit - but if someone isn't setting the record straight and
actually communicating this shit, then assumptions are all I have.

So here's what I'm looking to do. I'll be chatting to Zaid this week about
sessioning at Kamimodo and ask him if it would be possible for us to perhaps
get a discount on the monthly rate, seeing as how we'd be bringing our own
consoles and screens.

What I would like is to hear from everyone before we commit to anything. I'd
like to hear your thoughts on the matter. How do you feel about the way things
are at the GamerNET house currently? Do you feel there's some merit to what I'm
saying? Would you prefer that we try to make the most of a slightly unpleasant
situation or consider alternatives? Please feel free to voice your opinions.
