TB is probably just one of those people like myself who like to play
games that are fun and engaging.

He doesn't have his head up his arse he just has an opinion that is in
opposition to yours.
But if you think people who want games to be inclusive,fun and
rewarding are wrong
then does that mean you would prefer games to be more bland ?
disposeable ? uninvolved ?

This should be, That should be - he's right, they bloody well should be.
