We had a discussion about this last year, but never reached any conclusions!

Thanks Gerry,
That helps make sense of the separate listings in official equipment registers.
Your e-Email seems to have come through both ways, btw.

Iâ?Tm looking for a pointer - does anyone have suggestions on where to find a
straightforward account on what was Canadian Pacific Dispatch, when it ran,
why it was created and the services it provided?
About all I know of it is that Canadian Pacific Despatch(note spelling)
is that it was a 'fast freight line' operated in conjunction with the Boston &
Maine agglomeration of roads in the latter part of the 19th century. It was one
of many of the kind at that time formed by other railroad combinations.
Both the B&MRR Historical Scy and the EarlyRails.io group may be a place
that could help in more detail.
(I'm sending this directly to your email because my posts to cpha never seem to
appear).
