I apologize for being a little late with this report. Last weekend I attended
the National Governor’s meeting in St Louis. Although this meeting is more of
committee appointments, there is some info that I would like to share with you.
Competition
The new ZR-1 Corvette will be placed into class N at this time. There could be
a move once more data (ie event results) are shared.
There will not be anymore drag records reported in the BlueBars. The records
usually do not change much.
Membership
As of the meeting, there are 18,053 members nationwide. To see the numbers
nationwide and club numbers, go to the Membership page on the NCCC website.
There are two new clubs. Strickly Vettes of Memphis has joined the SE Region
and the Bridge City Corvettes of Portland, OR has joined the Northwest Region.
Interesting to note that with the addition of the Bridge City Club it brings
the total count in the NW Region to three clubs. The National Officers for the
Region are the same Officers for the West Coast Region.
Once again I need to remind you of any changes for your NCCC profile, ie name,
address, email addresses, etc. Remember your profiles are not public and only
myself has access to the membership database.
Treasury & Charity
The NKF account has been closed with the NCCC and a pay off check was sent to
them in the amount of $5826. The Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
remains the only and primary NCCC charity. If you would like more information
regarding the charity or scholarship program, visit the charity page on the
NCCC website.
June 1st is the deadline for all scholarship applications.
I have the treasury reports if you are interested. Please send me an email and
I will forward a copy to you.
Business & Convention Steering
There will be a bid for 2020 that I will be voting on later this year. The bid
will be from the Indiana Region and I assume it would be in Indy.
The 2019 convention for Denver is coming along pretty well and is planned for
July 7 thru 12, 2019.
The upcoming convention has a little over 400 members registered. The host
hotel is only 80% filled. Please see the convention page for the latest
schedule of events. Normally I would be attending and accepting the 2017
National Club Award for CCM. Because I will not be attending, I have asked
Fred King, the CCM Public Relations Director to accept the award for us.
NCM Representative Report
David Goebel, the NCCC NCM representative, report is attached.
Additional items from the BASH :

The Magnetic ride control that has been upgraded & is now standard on the 2019
Corvette, they had a good review of it and I talked to several people that have
had it done, so I took my 2016, Z06( w/Z07 option) in and had it upgraded, when
I got back, plan on having to leave it at the dealer over night as it has to
stand for 8-10 hours after the upgrade( it’s not cheap, $350).
Mobil 1 , has come out with a new oil for the C7 it’s a SAE 0 - 40
You no longer have to change oil when you track your car....all the dealerships
have been notified, but you should ask for it( I had too).
And for the concourse people, C Magic has a “Radiant” engineered shine that
lasts 12 months and a new convertible top cleaner and top protector all can be
purchased thru the NCM ( they demonstrated them and I bought all)

FCOA
After 22 years serving in the Director’s position, Pat Kelly has announced her
resignation at the end of the year. Pat has done a phenomenal job in that
position. If you sponsor FCOA members, you might consider sending Pat a BIG
thank you for her dedicated years as FCOA Director. I can provide you with her
address if you are interested. I have two Grandsons that are still members and
I will be sending her a card. My oldest Grandson, Anthony, was a member but he
turned 16 years of age and therefore is not eligible to remain an FCOA member.
If you would like to sponsor a youth, the cost is only a onetime fee off $10.
Please send me a note if interested. Also if you are interested in being the
FCOA Director, send me a note
That's it......................................
