In April of this year my wife, Stephanie, organized a 70th b-day party for
me at our fave sandwich shop, Rammy's Sub Contractor in nearby Elk Grove.
She purchased lunch for 25 friends of ours. Prior to the party I compiled a
CD of 147 music MP3 files that ranged from the 1960s to 2006. A great many
of these tunes are faves of mine from my rock/pop music library. I think
you'll find many of these will be fun to listen to via headphones. There
actually is a tune I wrote and recorded some years back after meeting
Stephanie at summer camp in Colorado back in 1975; it's MP3 #61. Below is a
link to all 147 MP3 files. As much as I love 60's music I'm surprised how
much 70's rock/pop ended up on the CD. Let's see how much of the music you
remember and recognize. And don't be surprised when you hear some 60's TV
commercials mixed in.

Three Music Montages
Creating music montages is an art not many folks can do because it requires
considerable time and labor compiling the music, then editing each file.
it's an extension of the podcast editing I have been doing since 1985. Below
is a link to a 47-minute music montage I put together of very famous songs
from the 50s to the 90s. The catch is that all you'll hear are recognizable
intros that often were lost under the reading of news headlines, public
service announcements, and (more often than not) a local weather report on
local radio.

Montage 2
This is a short 5-minute montage of a 1984 year-end 8-hour countdown of a
Kacy Cason American Top 40 show. In this montage I included what amounts to
only the title of each hit. I only compiled two montages of this type, one
from 1984 and the other from 1985. My, it takes so little to amuse me!

CD to everyone that attended; this is the first montage I had assembled this
century; I pieced together all previous montages on open reel tape before
