As the interest in CMS is mounting, so is the traffic in our mailing lists.
We realized that their current structure is not serving our needs in the
best way, as there is no clear separation of scopes. Also, the
administration and moderation tools offered by FreeLists have some friction.
Therefore, we have decided to *restructure our mailing lists* and *move
them to Google Groups*. We will have three lists:
* *contestms-announce* will be a receive-only list with sporadic
announcements from developers about releases and other important news;
* *contestms-support* will be a place to seek support, actively read and
answered by maintainers, where users don't need to register in order to
post (so that they don't get spammed);
* *contestms-discuss* will be a forum to discuss CMS-related issues where
members of the community interested in contributing or simply invested in
CMS are welcome to share ideas.
In the next few hours *we will be moving all users* registered to the
current mailing lists to the new ones. Everyone will be registered to
contestms-announce, and those that were registered to contestms-dev will be
added to contestms-discuss. The new mailing lists will be moderated, at
first.
