We are very pleased to announce the launching of the ICT for Education in Asia 
and the Pacific Website which can be accessed at: 

The website serves as a portal for initiatives and experiences generated by the 
UNESCO-Japanese-Funds-in-Trust ICT for Education in Asia and the Pacific 
Project as well as a clearing house of information and resources, latest news, 
organizations, projects and discussions on various dimensions of ICT use in 

The ICT for Education website shares information dealing with ICT policy and 
strategy; integration of ICT in formal and non-formal education systems; 
innovative methods of ICT use in teaching/learning; professional development; 
research and application of indicators to evaluate the impact of ICT use in 
education; and links to many existing relevant websites and information 

The website is also aimed at building an online community which will be 
responsible for updating and expanding its information resources through online 
contribution of ideas, initiatives and experiences. For this purpose, may we 
kindly invite you all to share with us and with all the rest of our users your 
research, books, articles and papers, latest news, projects, activities, 
organizations and websites which deal with the use of ICT in education and 
related areas. 

How can you do this? In the middle section of the first page of the website, 
you will see submit forms under four groupings: contributions, news and events, 
programmes/projects and discussion board. We would appreciate it if you could 
try out and submit your resources to our website and let thousands of users 
benefit from your resources, experiences, projects, and ideas. 

If your projects, organizations, websites, and information have already been 
posted on this website, we would appreciate your reviewing them for necessary
