Dear Valued RTD Customer:
We hope this communication finds you safe and healthy with the official arrival
of fall right around the corner. To keep you informed of the latest news at the
Regional Transportation District (RTD), we will continue to send periodic
updates. Following is a summary of what is happening right now:
N Line marks one year of service on Sept. 21
Since opening for customer service, trains on RTD’s newest commuter rail line
have traveled more than 310,000 miles between Union Station in Denver and
Eastlake•124th Station in Thornton. From 4-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, RTD will hand out
masks and hand sanitizer on the N Line platform, track 2, at Union Station in
appreciation of our customers. Read more.
RTD moves to new parking payment system Oct. 1
The decision to move to Parking.com to process mobile payments was driven by a
desire to improve the customer experience at RTD Park-and-Rides and account
security. To sign up for this service, download the Parking.com mobile app –
available on the Apple App Store or via Google Play for Android devices – and
create an account. Read more.
Public meetings coming up for January service change
Customers will have an opportunity to provide feedback about RTD’s next round
of proposed service changes, which will take effect in January 2022, at three
virtual public meetings on Oct. 4 and 5. Please plan to attend one of the
following events:

RTD takes next big step in fare study, equity analysis
Proposals are due by Oct. 11 for consultant support on the project, putting the
agency on track to develop an equitable fare structure and recommendations for
pass programs by late 2022 and implement any changes in 2023. Read more.
RTD general manager welcomes ZEB Conference attendees
Hundreds of people from around the world converged in Denver last week for the
2021 International Zero Emission Bus Conference. RTD staff provided a tour of
the agency’s Free MallRide shuttle operations, with these 36 vehicles
constituting one of the largest zero-emission, battery electric-powered fleets
in the United States. Read more.
Mask up! Face coverings remain required on transit through January 2022
Face coverings are required on all RTD services through Jan. 18, 2022, per
federal mandate – while riding on RTD vehicles and outside on agency property.
Keeping ourselves and our fellow travelers safe is everyone’s responsibility.
