It's dangerous if it's plugged in when you're in it, otherwise it's safe - it does not hold residual power like a TV...TV runs on 25k to 35k v for the CRT, PC power supply takes 110 (or 220, whatever it takes) down to 12 and 5 vdc. They tell you that to sell you a new one. -----Original Message----- From: computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of CRAZYDOVE@xxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 6:14 PM To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [CTS] Re: 1 more question.. Joe..I was told it's dangerous to open the PS..?????? I just may find it easier to replace the whole PS..rather than mess with the innards. It's a few years old..at least 3-4 years old. And my pc is on 24/7 Jackie In a message dated 12/20/2005 6:38:16 PM Eastern Standard Time, cuffy10@xxxxxxxxxxxxx writes: I'd measure the fan in the PS and order it along with the other one.
