Darren Shaffer has agreed to give a presentation on the topic of "Compact Framework Best Practices" which will be especially good for those of us who are still relatively new to the .NET CF--and I'm thinking also of those of us who came to Pocket PC development from C language Palm development. Darren has some great practical ideas about common sense design patterns for PocketPC mobile software--the kind you'll use time and again. This is a talk Darren has given at Microsoft events and seminars across the country. Description: The Microsoft .Net Compact Framework enables developers to quickly build and deploy enterprise mobility solutions with a level of effectiveness unprecedented in the mobile development space. This session is intended for the developer who is now using or well into learning the Compact Framework and is interested in adopting more effective ways to achieve code reuse, performance, data persistence, data synchronization, communications, and deployment. Through coding walkthroughs and demos of real-world mobile applications, participants will see the value in applying the design patterns, architectural strategies, and coding techniques presented in this session. A big thanks to Darren for agreeing to present for us! David ========================= David Beers, Moderator Colorado Mobile Developers www.comodev.com
