Ah, geez... Isn't it always that way?  

I'm using an iPaq 4150 and a Dell X30.  But does this mean that
communicating between the PDA and a Desktop is also going to be "touchy"?
Or is this "other" stack really common and the MS BT stack less so?

Hi Rick,

These APIs only work with Pocket PCs that employ the Microsoft BT stack (not
all do).  Otherwise, you have to use the developer kit for the stack used.  
I forget the name of the most common one, but I'll look it up and post it.
