for that matter, can I turn file naming off and just import them and use
existing structure and naming?

consolidate library did not seem to work with no naming rule....

the other portion of my issue about sub folders and file naming....

I have this for my comic renaming rule -  $PUBLISHER/$SERIES ($PUBYEAR)/$SERIES
- $ISSUE ($COVERDATE)

and this for my root folder - /Volumes/Comics

and what I got was comic files in my root folder with no extensions, why did I
not get publisher and series(year) folders, and how do I tell it to use the
correct extension without having to statically tell it .cbz (since they may not
all be cbz)

This along with the issue numbering failing when letters are included I still
need help with.

Thanks,
Doug

Amazing Spider Man 2018 has several issues where the issue is both numbers and
letters such as 051.LR and 016.HU, and when these were imported and named via
the filename rule the letters got left off so 051.LR became 051 and 016.HU
became 016, etc...

This is where my comments came from...I put these back into mylar and let mylar
fix them for me after this snafu, lol

Thanks,
Doug

When you say they're not being handled correctly, what do you mean?
Can you describe an example of it being handled incorrectly?

Regarding libray consolidation, the following renaming rule creates a
directory for each publisher, a directory for each series/volume, and
then the issue, is:

$PUBLISHER/$SERIES ($VOLUME)/$SERIES v$VOLUME #$ISSUE ($COVERDATE)

With it I have comics like:

Question #3...

It seems that issue numbers like .LR, .MU in marvel books are not handled
correctly in file naming rules. ALso I am having trouble getting the rules to
create subfolders by publiser/series, can you provide example rules that
would create sb folders under the root folder?

please and thanks!
Doug
