I’m getting a lot “This page is not responding” messages while CX is loading my
comic library.
At the same time, I’m seeing a lot of “Getting cover for comic” messages in the
log....but only 10 comics are being displayed per page (default settings).
Is this expected under 0.8? At the moment, the initial library load seems
worse than 0.7.

Hrm, that's odd but entirely possible. For the next release we've
replaced that old mechanism that loaded comics over HTTP in batches of
100 with a nice, sleak messaging bus. So once the user logs in, the
server starts publishing comic updates to the browser rather than the
browser having to ask for them. So it should be much faster at loading
those updates.

I’d click on the menu button - and would have to wait for it to pop out. It
almost seemed that CX was waiting for a batch of 100 comics to load before
actioning the menu request.
Not entirely sure if that’s possible though, as I’d expect popping out menus
would be independent of a library load.
This was on my desktop Pc, so not an ageing Surface issue...
I’ll try to get some time to fully load my library and see if the menu is
still laggy.
