Good questions.
If the files inside are changed, then you'll see it reflected in the comic
details view; i.e., if you delete or rename files in the comic archive then
those pages won't show up on the Pages tab and will, instead, show as
missing images.
If the file is deleted or the drive unavailable then the comics on that
drive will be shown as missing in the various list views.
Now, there is a rescan option on the admin page that should let you rescan
the entire library and fix issues like that. But it's not been thoroughly
tested yet, so it's a good place for us to do some testing.
