I'm starting to do some side work for the next release now the 0.10 is out
as a pre-release. The first things I'm wanting to do are to upgrade our
Angular and Spring dependencies to the latest available right now. But I'm
seeing a very weird issue at the command line.
Specifically, when I bumped the Spring Boot version from 2.3.1 to 2.5.5,
JaCoCo is now claiming that test coverage in all of our packages have
dropped to 0%. Obviously that's wrong, since reverting that change shows
that our coverage is well above that level. I also upgraded JaCoCo from
0.8.5 to 0.8.6 but that doesn't seem to fix the issue.
Anybody have experience with this phenomenon? Should we ditch JaCoCo and go
for a different tool, or just dump it entirely and stick with SonarCloud
which gives more detailed feedback on code?
