I’ll have a look when it’s released, but for sure I’ve not used the conversion
function.

Okay, I've got this fixed over lunch and am pushing a PR for it. Once it's
merged we can push a 0.6.0-2 release.

Okay, after starting my work day I had remembered that it wasn't the moving
comics but the converting comics to another archive that introduces the
issue. And I did reproduce it on the 0.6 branch, so we've got a bug there
that needs fixing. And fortunately I know what it is which is why I thought
it was on develop only. The bug I opened for this is #396:

Hrm, I'm no longer sure it's a 0.6 issue. I downloaded the 0.6.0-1 release
and went through the steps to import, delete and the consolidate the
library and couldn't reproduce this issue. Since it's something on develop,
I'd rather not open a bug (since opening bugs against development issues
would flood us with temporary issues to chase) until/unless it shows up in
a proper release.
I'd recommend not using develop releases going forward for anything more
than to play with new features. And then, do it in a way that separates it
from your active library. It's pretty risky to use untested code and will
lead to situations like this, sadly.

(quick note: this is a perfect email for the comixed list as opposed to
the comixed-dev list since it's a usage topic and not a development one)
Sorry things are giving you a go. As far as the localhost issue, that's
not something involving CX. That's a browser/operating system issue.
Resolving localhost to 127.0.0.1 is done long before CX is even involved
in the exchange.
No, CX doesn't generate ComicInfo.xml yet. That's something on the roadmap
for this release as I've just pushed the PR for re-archiving comics (not
merged yet).
As for the comics losing their covers in the list view, and trying to open
the details kicking you to the main page, I believe that's likely because
the comics' filenames in the DB no longer match the actual files on disk.
That's a bug I found this weekend while working on the convert codebase.
Basically, the DB likely has the name with a "-1" while the file on disk
doesn't, so now CX doesn't know if the comic still exists. That's a bug in
the consolidation codebase. I would appreciate it if you could open a bug
for this problem, with reproducer steps, and we can get a 0.6.1 update out
with a fix for it.

First thing – CX is really pushing my patience tonight, so apologies if
this comes across as terse or lacks chunks of information.
Second thing – for some reason CX will no longer play nice (i.e.
place-holder text is shown in menus, and I cannot log on....even with
machine restarts browser cache clears, DB delete and re-creation and
re-downloading JAR files) when I try to access it via localhost:7171.
Using my machines IP works fine. Yeah...so after about 10 or 15 minutes,
localhost is working again.
Right – the meat of the current problem: CX does not like issues 1
through 5 of Gen 13...specifically the 1994 volumes that consist of a
five issue mini-series, followed by an ongoing series. Yes...both the
mini and ongoing series have the same volume number – they just have
different start dates. No two issues have the same cover month.
I imported the mini-series first – everything was fine. Once the comics
were fully imported, cover images showed nicely. So I imported the first
five issues of the ongoing series. Once imported – no cover images are
displayed. Only the “comic cover” placeholder.
Attempting to open (right click, open) any one issue kicks me to the main
page (has the donut chart). Navigating back to the library page and
choosing the “list” view shows unique information for each issue – each
has it’s own cover date, title (although issues 1, 2 and 5 of the mini
are NULL), the mini has the Wildstorm imprint as the publisher (likely
due to my scraping it before attempting to import the ongoing series).
Note clicking on “Wildstorm (DC Comics)” takes me to....”DC Comics”.
And consolidation moved the comics again...but the imprint is being
ignored in the publisher folder hierarchy.
Question: does CX write the comicinfo.xml files yet? I was sure I was
removing them as part of my processing – but either I’m not or CX is
adding them. I’d say it’s the former (I’m not removing them), but want
to double check.
