I haven't really worked with Gradle so I don't have any opinion about it.
From what I've read it's pretty good today but does it bring something
better to the project? Is there a need to change? In any case, personally,
if the project goes on Gradle I would find it interesting to discover how
it works.

I've been thinking about the next sprint and what can be pushed off until
then, one of which is upgrading both Spring Boot and Angular versions to
the latest of each.
And this kicked off thinking about whether or not we want to shift our
build from using Maven to Gradle; i.e., are there advantages to using
Gradle? One that I remember being mentioned back in June is that Gradle has
solved issues with building on Java16 that Maven hasn't as of yet. Granted
right now we're only targeting Java11 and I don't expect us to target a
more recent version of Java in the next year.
So I just wanted to open a conversation about this idea and see what you
think.
