What I’m seeing (and the cat woman image is good example) is that an exact
match doesn’t happen all that often due to minor differences in the series name.
Mostly, this would occur when doing a initial scrape of a comic that doesn’t
have existing metadata.

In most cases, the first row will be the comic that is being scraped –
having the row auto-selected reduces the number of interactions required to
complete a scrape.
For example, I’ve scraped “Catwoman – Final Jeopardy”. In the paste below,
it’s the first row – but it’s not selected.

Obviously auto-selected may result in some mis-matches...but I’m not sure
that’s of enough concern to not have auto-selecting occurring.
