Querido William,
Buena oportunidad para unirme a los colegas en reconocer y agradecerte la
excelente labor que has hecho durante más de 15 años en apoyar a quienes
incursionábamos en el tema de las migraciones. También a tu trabajo
dedicado y construido paso a paso como promotor de la integración nacional
e internacional de manera generosa, amable y enmarcada en valores como
compartir saberes de forma democrática y abierta evitando caer en las
garras de la arrogancia académica y de oportunistas.
Esta vez me parece reconocer la presencia vanidosa de una fiera que grita:
¿Usted no sabe quién soy yo? Al señor Julio Mauricio Romero L. le cuento
que como bien dice un comercial de un banco colombiano, está en el lugar
equivocado. Esta es una red de gente respetuosa y amable en la que el
contenido y la forma de su mensaje representa un insulto, que amerita que
ofrezca disculpas. Entiendo también señor Julio Mauricio que su respuesta
pone en evidencia su desconocimiento e inexperiencia en redes académicas.
De nuevo contigo querido William...Siempre recuerdo con alegría y gratitud
nuestra primera conversación a comienzos de 2006 en la Universidad del
Norte, cuando con ese hermoso acento paisa me invitaste a compartir con tu
equipo en tierras cafeteras la investigación que habíamos realizado con
niños colombianos en los Estados Unidos sobre cambios en la comida. Eran
tiempos en los que hablar de migraciones y niñez era algo raro y poco
atractivo para quienes estaban enfocados en otros temas.
