The Canadian Council for Refugees will be hosting an international conference
on refugee rights next year, with the goal of enhancing the effectiveness of
NGOs in promoting the human rights of refugees and vulnerable migrants.
When: 7-9 June 2018
Where: York University, Toronto, Canada

The CCR office is located on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka
(Mohawk) People. The island called Montreal is known as Tiotia:ke in the
language of the Kanien’kehá:ka, and has historically been a meeting place for
other Indigenous nations, including the Algonquin People.
Les bureaux du CCR se trouvent sur le territoire traditionnel des
Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawks). L’île appelée «Montréal» est connue comme Tiotia:ke
dans la langue des Kanien’kehá:ka et elle a été historiquement un point de
rencontre pour d'autres Peuples autochtones, y compris les Algonquins.
