Branch for-upstream contains vagrant support for two recent base
distributions (Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty and Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial), and
resolves problems with upstream package bugs in the ageing previous
base distribution precise (12.04), hopefully also for a while
into the future. Continuous integration checks in travis-ci
are in a working state again (using trusty instead of
precise as base).
Unless someone reports regressions, I'll merge early next week.
